What r the best techniques (sales pitch) to target US IT companies?

July 5th, 2010

Hi,
My name is PB and I am the marketing/business development manager for a Software testing company based in India having office in US. We have a number of products/services which will suit our targeted clinets based in USA perfectly. However getting in touch with them is proving to be a makor hurdle. so far we have been following the basic methodology
1. To get all the information about the client including the key people, the products and areas where we can target our services.
2. Next we follow-up with a series of emails giving our deatils and successes.
3. We follow these with direct phone calls to the key personnel.

However most of the emails we have sent are either lying unread or deleted immediately. As a result we are not making much headways with this method. Similarly with the phone calls, the calls re being trasferred to the clinet IVRs and the response rate is not satisfactory. Thus we are not making much progress here as well and spending loads of money on pitching

Best anti-virus solution for combating LAN viruses?

July 3rd, 2010

In our Institute, there are around 60 computers connected through LAN. Internet connectivity is obtained through VSAT (satellite link). We are having a mail server (linux), squid proxy server (Unix), Sun server (firewall) and a web server (Windows). Most of the times, internet connectivity is very poor. There was no problem found at the ISP end. We believe that LAN viruses are major contributors for slow browsing. In this regard, I wish to know which are the best anti-virus solutions available for our system in the following cases:

1. At server end (linux) – which anti-virus solution and on which server (mail, proxy or SUN), it should be installed?

2. At user end (Windows) – which anti-virus software will be more effective?

Do we also need to install any anti-spam software in the mail (and other) server(s)?

Looking for a good bulk emailer?

July 2nd, 2010

I have a massive amount of emails to send out as a newsletter and the email software I was using no longer works. I need a reliable bulk emailing software with good tech support (at least a phone number).

Any suggestions?
To the first 3 folks who cannot or didn’t read what I wrote, I clearly stated its for a newsletter. Grow up.

I bought a marketing software, that in order to work requires me to give up PC user control. Is this a scam?

July 2nd, 2010

After buying this RSS Content Builder software the instructions said that if your a PC user you must go to: control panel>>user accounts>>turn user account on/off>>check off turn user account off>>reboot CPU. Does this sound right or is this a built in scam for the software creators to use to steal you info? the only way the software will work is if i perform the above instructions (software must be used on a off-site server). please advise…
